Hello all. Here is a video clip of the Festival at Shady Brook. You can get a brief glimpse of me doing my scene at about 0:43. Happy All Souls Day!

I did this little drawing in celebration of the cat in M. R. James' story, The Five Jars. My own cat posed for it. Not long after the narrator in the story, finds the box containing the 5 jars, he realizes that evil forces are trying to get possession of it. When he comes home from his walk we have the following bit.
"Pussy's been sleepin' on your box all afternoon, sir," said the maid when I came in to tea. "I couldn't get her to come off, and when I did turn her out of the room I do believe she climbed up and got in again by the winder." "I don't mind at all," I said, "let her be there if she likes." And indeed I felt quite grateful to the cat. I don't know that she could have done much if there had been any attempt on the box, but I was sure her intentions were good. OK, I've done another drawing. It's up to you to come up with a story to go with it. What do you think is going on in this picture? If you have any ideas leave a comment or two.
This is my crude attempt at telling a story with just a picture. I've tried to give enough in the picture to suggest what is going on and still leave room for the viewer to mentally fill in gaps and complete the story in a way that he or she would like. So, have fun. If you come up with something interesting please tell us about it in the comments.
For my first post I might as well say "Hello!" and show you what I look like, lol! I had to take this selfie when I was participating in the Haunted Hayride at Shady Brook Farms, because I needed to check my make up out there and I didn't have a mirror. Believe me I'm a lot uglier than this in real life.
